IT ReUse – Your old laptop can brighten someone’s life
Did you know that 9% of the adult population of York don’t have internet access? This situation has become all the more critical during lockdown when we can’t get out to see family and friends and are increasingly reliant on online services.
The Community Furniture Store in York is working with City of York Council, Age UK, Changing Lives and others to improve that situation. By refurbishing unwanted IT equipment we can provide devices to people that would benefit from getting online.
If you’ve got an old PC, laptop or tablet that still works but you no longer use bring it to the Store and we’ll wipe it, test it and reinstall software before giving it to someone that can make good use of it. Call the Store on 01904 426444 for further information.
